anyone have any ideas where i've gone wrong?

my greatest personal wish for me is a simple one. to be able to sleep untroubled and timely. to not lay there for hours thinking and wondering.

the simplest things are often the hardest to get.

so i caught up, and exceeded what i needed to do for the web site, but, as usual, discovered that i needed info for a couple of small things from the client, so i rang her and got things sorted. and then the bombshell. the other boss wanted to change the initial home page from the static page i'd programmed to a one of the other pages. it may not sound much to the casual observer, but the way i'd written the code, all the php and database tables was now completely wrong.
i said i wish that decision had of been made three weeks ago.
anyway, after i stopped renting my hair and garments, i had a brainwave and worked out a solution that she was happy with that only took four extra hours instead of the four extra days i knew a complete re-write would have taken.

some things that i pride myself on are, for web sites anyway, my viewer centric focus, not client centric; good navigation and outside the box problem solving. i really should double my prices.

after this week when i should be completely finished with this site, i'm going to finish the re-design of my rugby teams site which i rushed for the start of the season, then completely redo and re-launch my own design and hosting site. unless a paying client comes along first.

having lunch with mum in town tomorrow. i‘ll ask her of course about her plans for her birthday, but i wont think she’ll have anything out of her usual nothing planned for herself.

flat inspection tomorrow, so i did a wee tidy up in the office and discovered i need a bigger office. more bookshelves, even though i bought two new bookshelves yesterday, and better lighting for the sewing machine.

simon is getting very very pissed off at the dog. she's back to her digging again and he even said he might have to start taking her to work with him, which isn't really allowed. he's been a bit down the last couple of days. mainly because he caught my cold/flu thing and also because his tattoo hurts like fu*k and it's taking all his spare cash to pay for it.
so i made a totally gorgeous chicken soup for us both tonight which he loved, but he wasn't up to eating anything else, so i had a nice steak etc on my own while he had a hot bath and went to bed.

my body is sooooo fu*king sore. not from rugby, but from the drinking, running, jumping, hanging upside down and generally making a fool of myself on saturday night. i can hardly imagine how i would be feeling if we'd won the final.

monday i need to make a concerted effort to catch up on the work i missed while i was ill in bed. so i‘ll be a busy wee beaver for two or three days doing that. the difference between the old site and the new is so marked that even i don’t recognise it. plus, the client who loved the first rather bland and boring, yet simple and functional design of the old site absolutely adores the new one. so yay me.

still no word from anyone in the family about mums birthday plans. i suspect, if a call come through at all, it‘ll be on friday afternoon telling me to be at the farm [ 43º 32’ 6.74“ S - 171º 56' 45.69” E ] for lunch on sunday. well, that's not going to work as i have already made luncheon plans for that day. i guess the black sheep of the family will continue as usual.

oh, and some bitch who i‘ve never laid eyes on before yelled at me to not touch her man at the rugby clubrooms. 140kg men at 1.6m tall don’t interest me at all. the fact that i was simply standing next to them and not touching anything except the wall to hold me up and a glass swilling with beer gave me a bit of a shock quite frankly.
he obviously has issues unvoiced to me but whispered nightly into her ears. their drama, they can act in it.
but it did make me sad.
