the last two days have gloriously beautiful. not one part of them have made me feel low or sad or negative in any respect. i'm almost pinching myself to see if it's real.
so i‘ve made use of my mood and cleaned the study and the cupboards of all the total crap they contained making room for my second pc and my mac on the desk and the boxes of cds and dvds and cases etc that were just cluttering up the desk in my room, which is now clear excepting the periphials i use daily for my laptop. plus all my clothes are hanging up in the wardrobe or folded nicely in drawers.
and books are put on shelves and dvds stacked and rubbish from the lounge burnt in the fireplace.
and i am rather proud of myself.
also, i learnt something about myself today too. that i do not miss or care that my former rugby team didn’t have me there to kick around. it was very liberating to not worry. what they think about me not being there for two weeks, i have no idea. and i do not care.
now i just have work to worry about :-)

let's talk about work for a moment, well, let's face it, there's not a lot else going on around me to talk about.
you know how a couple of the boys started a wee punching session a few weeks ago, and how punch c*nt pushed and abused me last week or whenever, well (lots of wells in this post for some reason), he's done it again. new boys has been working on a project which punch c*nt and c*nt boss have been interferring with and giving him conflicting information about. c*nt boss this morning told new boy to see punch c*nt about yet one more change and pc went fu*king ballistic and snapped and pushed and abused new boy. he's not happy and we talked about it and i hope he tells someone so as to establish a pattern of behaviour for punch c*nt. it's getting beyond a joke now. seriously. do i have to start watching out for a sledge hammer to be swung in my direction?
i'm seriously disturbed by what this prick is doing at work. and (bad grammar aside) i am seriously thinking about a change in employment.

writer girl told me this afternoon when i came home that her grandmother is in hospital. and her grandmothers sister and her husband is recovering from a mild stroke and her dad is unwell as is her mum. i just told her to be carful crossing the road as she wouldn't want sick people coming to her funeral. she laughed.

had a lovely lunch today in the sun with an old flatmate who's leaving the country to return after her two year visa expires. it was great to catch up as i haven't seen her for over 6 months. plus the waiter was drop dead gorgeous. so it was a lovely afternoon.
she would never let me buy myself clothes without her there when we lived together and today was no exception. even though it was just a plain knitted top, it was nice to have that female eye going over the purchase. plus i bought mum a bread knife for her birthday at the end of the month as hers is total crap and couldn't cut hot butter. i know it doesn't like a very good present to buy your mum, but i hate not being able to cut bread when i stay out at the farm [ 43º 32' 6.74“ S - 171º 56' 45.69” E ]. but at least i'm thinking of her, right?

who was impressed with the opening ceremony of the olympics? it was inventive and bright, but quite subdued in the excitement levels i thought. i guess i remember the 2000 sydney ceremony so well and felt the excitement. not so with beijing. but that's cool. it represented china which it was supposed to do. i did like the scroll thing they had going. tres cool, but i don't know. maybe i'm not asian enough.
so bring on the mens gymnastics, swimming, diving, rowing ummm anything with speedos or lycra will do nicely thanks.
